FALL TRAVEL
The Fall Competitive Travel Soccer Program is intended for those players that wish for more serious soccer while still having fun. Practice starts the end of August and the season concludes with the Fall Harvest Fest, which is the end of October. There are generally 6 games (all on the weekends) with 3 being at “home”. Teams are offered to U9s through U14s and are determined by the number of registrants. The age a child plays at is determined by how old they are on July 31, 2009
Registration Fee is $140 per player, which includes: a long sleeve white and a short sleeve red tee shirt, shorts and socks. (If a paid coach is needed, that cost of that coach is NOT included in your player fee’s. Their will be an addition charge per player.) Coaches are typically volunteer parents.
FALL 4v4
The 4v4 microsoccer program consists of teams of 5 or 6 players of which 4 are on the field when playing. It is intended for fun and to work on skill development. The cost is $60 and includes a T-shirt. Shin pads are required. Teams are coed and offered for U5s through U10 (Birthdates between 07-31-04 and 08-01-98). The age a child plays at is determined by how old they are on July 31, 2009. Games are played Saturday mornings from 9:30-10:30 am and Wednesday evenings from 6-7pm. The season starts on September 13th 2008 and runs Saturdays and Wednesdays through October 25th. All games are played at the VFW complex in Otsego. The VFW complex is located on the west side of Hwy 101 and south of Cty Rd 42 on Quadry Street. Team schedules and T shirt hand out will be on Saturday September 13th starting at 8am and will be available until the first game starts at 9:30 am. Coaches/supervisors will be notified of their team rosters prior to the start of the season. The 4v4 program is a very fun & casual “league” intended to allow soccer players to get as many touches as possible. The 4v4 program is not intended to be an instructive league, rather an opportunity for players to extend their summer season. Because of the programs relaxed environment, it is an excellent opportunity to come out and try soccer for the first time. In order to keep team sizes small we are looking for as many volunteers as possible. You will not be required to provide any instruction. As a team “Supervisor” you would help organize your team on game days, set up your team goal, rotate players so they get equal playing time, keep time, and help determine possession when a ball leaves the playing field. This is a great opportunity to get involved with soccer at a very relaxed level!! Please help us build a fun and exciting program that benefits both our children and community.
